I got some cool news today by email. I won a contest over on Twimom101. (Which I have to say Mandy is amazing and her blog is fantastic. If you ever want to create the perfect book blog, check hers out. Love her!) The book is Remembering Zane and it looks and sounds fantastic. Here is a brief look:
At ten years old, Bonnie Reese knew the minute she laid eyes on Zane Withers, that he would forever have a place in her heart. After years of dating, then finally going their separate ways, Bonnie always dreamed that eventually they would get back together.
But those dreams were shattered as so was her heart, when she got the devastating news that her beloved Zane had been killed. As she faced her worse nightmare of going to his funeral, Bonnie runs into Zane’s best friend Jonathan Wood. Little did she know, Jonathan has had deep feelings for her since the 7th grade. Now that his best friend is gone, will Jonathan have the guts to tell her that he’s loved her since high school? Or will he keep his secret to himself forever?
I am finishing up my book for Emlyn Chand's "Books That Made MeLove Reading" March challenge post. Which is my re read and review of "Anne of Green Gables". Hopefully I will have that review up this week.
And I am also reading "The Vampire Hunter's Daughter" by, Jennifer Malone Wright. Here is a brief look:
Fourteen-year-old Chloe witnesses her mother’s murder at the hands of a vampire. Before the vampire can kidnap her, there is an unexpected rescue by a group of vampire hunters. Overwhelmed by the feeling of safety, Chloe passes out and they whisk her away to their small community.
When Chloe wakes, she comes face to face with the only other living relative, besides her mother, whom she has ever met: her grandfather. Chloe’s mother kept her hidden from the family; now, Chloe tries to unveil the family secrets.
Through her grandfather, she learns her mother was a vampire hunter. In fact, her entire family is descended from the powerful bloodlines of vampire hunters. Chloe agrees to join the family she has never known for one reason only: Chloe vows to kill the vampire responsible for her mother’s murder. With vengeance in her soul, Chloe is even more determined to follow through on her vow when she discovers the true identity of her enemy and how he is connected to her.
So lots to read. Along with lots to write, and kids to chase. Ahhhh, the life of a book blogger.
