Special Christmas Book Review: Courtney Saves Christmas

Courtney Saves Christmas

Courtney is a peppy young penguin who just loves exploring, and is overjoyed when she receives a compass from Santa on Christmas morning. She’s so grateful for the gift, in fact, that she just needs to give Santa a great big hug and say “Thank you!” in person. The only problem is she lives in the South Pole, and Santa is all the way on the other side of the globe!

With the aid of her new compass, Courtney sets off on a journey that takes her almost an entire year. By the time she reaches Santa’s workshop, the elves are in a flurry preparing for the upcoming holiday. Unfortunately, Rudolph is feeling very sick—too sick to guide the sleigh. If Courtney can’t find a way to help, Christmas will be ruined and all the children of the world will be devastated. What’s a little penguin to do?

There’s only one way to find out: join Courtney in her yuletide adventure in this special holiday edition of the color-illustrated Bird Brain Books series for children 3-6 years old.

I'm sitting down and snuggling a super excited 9 year old  who just can't wait to tomorrow night. What should we read? Well for us it was Courtney and her adventure to save Christmas. Emlyn's Bird Brain Books are a favorite in our house, and one just seems to pop up for every season.

If you are a regular follower you know why we like these books. But don't let that 3-6 age recommendation fool you, I just so happened to catch a peek of my twelve year old trying to listen from the other room. Much like trying to spy on Santa, even the bigger kids can't resist a bit of Christmas fun. (Just don't let on to their friends!)

In this adventure a special little penguin uses her gift from Santa to travel on a magical journey. What she finds out about her self is how much she has to give back. More than she ever could have dreamed.  A perfect reminder of how we can help others this holiday and all through the year. Even though Christmas Eve is tomorrow it's not too late to download Courtney and share some special cuddle time with the little ones in your life.  Click on the book cover above to buy the $2.99 Kindle edition from Amazon.

Merry Christmas to all my friends who have helped

grow this blog over the past year.  May your holiday be

filled with love and laughter, family and peace, and the

joys of the season.
